"Be Still My Beating Heart"

Be still my beating heart
It would be better to be cool
It's not time to be open just yet
A lesson once learned is so hard to forget
Be still my beating heart
Or I'll be taken for a fool
It's not healthy to run at this pace
The blood runs so red to my face
I've been to every single book I know
To soothe the thoughts that plague me so

I sink like a stone that's been thrown in the ocean
My logic has drowned in a sea of emotion
Stop before you start
Be still my beating heart

Restore my broken dreams
Shattered like a falling glass
I'm not ready to be broken just yet
A lesson once learned is so hard to forget

Be still my beating heart
You must learn to stand your ground
It's not healthy to run at this pace
The blood runs so red to my face
I've been to every single book I know
To soothe the thoughts that plague me so

Stop before you start
Be still my beating heart

Never to be wrong
Never to make promises that break
It's like singing in the wind
Or writing on the surface of a lake
And I wriggle like a fish caught on dry land
And I struggle to avoid any help at hand

I sink like a stone that's been thrown in the ocean
My logic has drowned in a sea of emotion
Stop before you start
Be still my beating heart"

advice from a friend ...

man you should post that email.

hi michael - thanks for the concern - haven't stopped working - just
haven't been around the techno stuff lately (computers, digital
recorders, cameras, telephones, etc) - just needed a break for more
meditation, healing, reading, drawing without goals, and helping my
son become an eagle scout - we have two weeks to attempt the
impossible - partly the result of teenage procrastination and
ambivalence (from both of us) - also, had one hell of a cold/flu/
virus/alien infestation/ plague - whatever ...
amazing piece of video o'keefe sent you - 207 people x 5 minutes of
stillness each - 81 people short of a full day [81 x 5= 405 minutes +
1,035 minutes (from the 207) = 1,440 divided by 60 = 24 hrs.] sorry,
my brain works that way.
like david lynch says in 'catching the big fish', if the square root
of the worlds' population (approx. 8,000 people) would all meditate
or say a prayer at the same time and place - or do anything with some
degree of unity for that matter (even vote) - the (butterfly) effect
would be profound - [einstein's unified field theory]
also been reading alot to fill in some gaps for an hour tv interview
on tuesday with the 'new arts program' down near philly ...
- breathing ...
soon as this eagle thing is a wrap, i'd like to meet you for a
meeting and lunch somewhere ..
thank you again, p

Paul, You okay? You haven't posted in a while. And as for the
comment on my latest, I thought they did it for five minutes? Michael
